Recognized as one of the foremost media relations experts in Los Angeles, Jo Hunt has more than 26 years of marketing, public relations and journalism experience to her credit. A former newspaper and magazine reporter, Hunt's major strengths are her ability to build strong “mediagenic” public relations programs and successfully market new products to both the consumer and trade press — a must in today's business world.
Specializing in home building, lifestyle and pet products, Hunt has successfully launched national PR programs for numerous companies including CaesarStone Quartz Countertops; Wind Crest induction and gas cooktops; Zuma high-end soaking bathtubs; Santec Faucets; Terra Acqua stone and copper sinks, and UVDI HVAC systems for the home. On the housewares front, she has built PR programs for Hamilton Beach/Procter-Silex, Fisher & Paykel/Dynamic Cooking Systems (DCS), Gourmet Standard, Magma Grills and Alfresco Outdoor Cooking Systems.
The company also works with pet product manufacturers West Paw Design, Tuffie’s Toys and Precision Pet Products.
Hunt also has years of experience launching automotive aftermarket products for Clarion Sales Corp., Harman Kardon International, JBL/Infinity Mobile Systems, Nissan Motor Corp., Magellan Systems, Myron & Davis, and American Honda Motor Corp., among others.
She currently works with such charitable organizations as Habitat for Humanity, Church World Services International, Heifer International, Architecture for Humanity and California Roots & Shoots.
Hunt has won several awards for her work including a LULU from the Los Angeles Women in Advertising, 12 Awards of Excellence from the Public Communicators of Los Angeles (PCLA), and several Platinum MarCom Creative Comm. awards.
Hunt is a member of the National Assn. of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) as well as the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She and her husband, along with Spanky, Peaches, Sam, Max and Mable (dogs and cats) reside in Palos Verdes, Calif.
